Is Latoprost RT Eye Drop Right for You?

Before starting this medication, transparency with your healthcare provider is essential to ensure safety. Latoprost RT affects eye pigment and can cause temporary changes in the eye’s appearance.

Please inform your doctor if the patient:

• Has other eye conditions: Inform your doctor if you have a history of eye inflammation (iritis, uveitis), aphakia (no lens in the eye), or risk factors for macular edema (swelling at the back of the eye).

• Is wearing contact lenses: This medicine may contain a preservative (or its absence requires special handling). Remove soft contact lenses before instilling the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.

• Is pregnant or breastfeeding: The safety of this medication during pregnancy or lactation should be discussed thoroughly with an eye specialist.

• Has blue, gray-blue, or green-blue eyes: Note: Latanoprost can permanently change the color of the iris (the colored part of the eye) by increasing the amount of brown pigment, resulting in a browner color. This effect is permanent and usually occurs slowly.

• Is taking other eye drops: Inform your doctor about all other drops you are using, especially other prostaglandin analogs.

How to Use

Guidelines for Effectiveness

To get the most benefit from Latoprost RT Eye Drop, strict adherence to your doctor’s prescription is required.

• Dosage: Instill one drop into the affected eye(s) exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

• Timing: It is usually instilled once a day, in the evening or at bedtime. Taking it more often than once daily does not increase the effect and may actually reduce it.

• Administration: Wash your hands thoroughly. Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid to form a small pocket, and hold the dropper tip directly over the eye. Instill one drop, then close the eye gently for 1-2 minutes. Press lightly on the corner of the eye near the nose (nasolacrimal occlusion) to prevent the medicine from draining out.

• If You Miss a Dose: If you forget a dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule the next evening. Do not use two drops to make up for a missed one.

• Storage: Store the unopened bottle in a refrigerator. Once opened, store it at room temperature (below 25°C or 30°C) and discard any remaining solution 4 weeks after opening.
